Meet Dr. K Marie

Hi! I’m Dr. K Marie, a bilingual pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist and the founder of Speech & Wonder.I began my career in New York after earning my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and have spent the past 10 years working with young children and their families, with extensive experience in early intervention and early communication development.Driven by my passion for supporting families beyond the therapy session, I went on to earn my doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology, with a focus on parent coaching and empowering caregivers to confidently support their child’s communication development in everyday life.My clinical work focuses on early communication development and pediatric orofacial myofunctional disorders. I have completed specialized training in myofunctional disorders and am currently pursuing certification in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy to further expand my expertise in this area.I believe some of the most meaningful opportunities for development happen during ordinary moments—playing together, reading a favorite book, getting ready for the day, sharing a meal, or simply connecting as a family. My approach combines evidence-informed clinical care, family education, and practical strategies that can carry over into everyday life.
